Coonoor is a glorious location and an ideal place to relax in. If you’re looking for a more active stay, and are staying in Tenerife Hill, then there’s lots on offer. Choose from a tea tasting experience (learning how to taste tea) or several walks guided by manager Sandeep or one of his staff. The walking options are as follows: Walk up Tenerife Hill, which is a short walk up the highest peak in Coonoor, that takes 90 minutes; Walk to Toda Village, this is a half-day walk through the forests and sholas of the Nilgiris to ‘Bettu Mand'; Walk to Droog, which is a full day walk through the plantations to Droog, an old watch post of Tippu Sultan. All excursions are an additional charge and can be booked directly with Tenerife Hill, or if you prefer let us know in advance and we will book them for you.
