Located minutes from the entrance to Pench Tiger Reserve, Baghvan is an appropriately named lodge (it means Tiger Forest) that provides spoiling safari luxury. Along with Banjaar Tola in Kanha, Baghvan is run by both the Taj and the &Beyond group; these are two world leaders in hospitality and luxury safari experiences. There are just 12 air-conditioned suites; each one is made up of two buildings interconnected by a private courtyard and all are adorned with wonderful Indian art and fabrics. The bathrooms feature both an indoor and outdoor shower and each room has a private machan (private viewing deck) so that you don’t miss a thing! The naturalists here are incredibly well trained so that you experience as much as possible during both the 4×4 game drives and while on foot in the buffer zones. There’s an emphasis on all wildlife and not just tigers, which we love. For those free few hours the lodge boasts an inviting swimming pool, a wonderful main lodge area with huge comfortable sofas, high tea and tongue tingling Indian cuisine.
