Reopened in 1997, The Oberoi Cecil dates back to 1884 and is to this day one of Shimla’s finest hotels. The property radiates charm and elegance with classic fabrics, wood panelling and opulent chandeliers. Rooms are spacious with large luxurious beds and Burmese teak floors; some overlook the gardens while others make the most of the snow peaked Himalayas. The restaurant serves both Asian and European food during breakfast, lunch and dinner but snacks can also be enjoyed in Cedar Garden, their beautiful outdoor dining area.
