Sitting conveniently between Mahabalipuram and Chennai, Vivanta by Taj Fisherman’s Cove is a fantastic option to start of end your trip in South India. Larger the most of the hotels we recommend, the property boasts 152 rooms that sprawl across the ramparts of an old Dutch Fort. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and nuzzle right up to the coast. The hotel dates back 35 years and therefore some of the rooms are arguably a bit dated; they are however very comfortable and tastefully furnished. If your budget allows we suggest staying in the Garden or Sea View Cottages as these are brighter and more modern. Compared to the properties further south in Mahabalipuram the beach here is a little wider and some rooms have direct access down onto the sand.
